Mildred N. Platt, 92, of 42 Holmes Way, Elon died at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital on Thursday, January 5, 2016.
A native of Greig, NY, she was the wife of the late James Rife Platt and the daughter of Lewis Nagy and Magdalena Nagy, both deceased. Mrs. Platt was a graduate of the Lenox Hill School of Nursing and a veteran of the U. S. Army-Air Corps serving as a nurse. She was a member of the Newcomers Club of Burlington and an avid bridge player. She was of the Presbyterian faith.
Survivors include a daughter Karyn P. Parsons and husband Jeff and their son, Aaron of Burlington; two sons, Dr. Bill Platt of Athens, OH and his children, Celeste, Jeremy, Jameson, Dylan and Neil and his grandchild, Cameron and Gary Platt of Walnut Creek, CA and his children, Alex and Preston;
sister, Helen West and husband Dick of Syracuse, NY; and many beloved nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Lewis Nagy, Jr. and William Nagy.
