Mildred Mae Hudson, 86, of Kissimmee, Florida, passed away on February 13th at Osceola Regional Medical Center. She was born on August 16th, 1935, in Pocomoke City, Maryland, to the late Fred Hill and Mildred (Martin) Hill.

Known as “Mittie” to her friends and family, she graduated from Pocomoke High School in 1953. Mildred and her first husband Brooks Linton lived on Cokesbury Road in Pocomoke for much of the 1950s and 1960s. She loved to travel and often told stories about her trips to Mexico, Florida, and Tennessee. She also had a special dog, Tammy, that figured prominently in many of her tales.

Mildred wed the late Walter James Hudson, Sr., in 1970, and the couple moved to Salisbury, Maryland. They had one son, Walter James Hudson, Jr.
Mildred worked for many years at the Salisbury Nursing Home before retiring in 2002. She moved to Kissimmee, Florida, in 2016.

Mildred is survived by her son Walter “Jim” Hudson, Jr., daughter-in-law Becky, grandchildren Brandon and Emily Hudson, all of Orlando, Florida, her sister Gail Cathell of Florida, sisters-in-law Ruth Fletcher and Kitty Mae Hill, both of Virginia, and nephews and nieces Gay, Sandy, Pat, Mark, Rob, Jason, and Amy.

She was preceded in death by her husband Walter Hudson Sr., parents Fred and Mildred Hill, and brothers Fred “F.D.” Hill and Bobby Hill.
