Mildred L. Daniel, 68, of Jacksonville, died Saturday, Nov. 8, 2008, at Memorial Medical Center in Springfield. She was born Nov. 3, 1940, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Warren Keith and Rose Devarose Daniel, Sr.

She is survived by one brother, Warren K. (Caroline) Daniel, Jr. of Chapin; two nieces, Cheryl (Sean) Bolton of Jacksonville and Deedee Ann (Drew) Headley of Pinson, AL.; five great-nieces and nephews, Samantha Clardy, Zachary Bolton, Alysan Wayman, Alex Headley, and Josh Headley.

Ms. Daniel was a 1958 graduate of Jacksonville High School. After graduation, she worked for Woolworths until it closed, then for Colwell Lumber until its closing, and later for K-Mart until it closed. She then worked for Complete Care in Pittsfield, retiring to care for her great-nephew, Zachary. She had been a member of Jacksonville Family Campers and Jacksonville C.B. Club. She enjoyed needlework. She also enjoyed her nieces and nephews, helping people, and was an anchor to all who knew her.
