Mildred Jean (Kruseman) Stanley, 95, of Newton; formerly of Lynnville, died on Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at her home in Park Centre.
Mildred, the daughter of Everett C. and Christina (Boot) Kruseman, was born on April 28, 1924 at her family’s home south of Sully. She graduated from Sully High School in 1942. On August 19, 1942, Mildred was united in marriage with Warren V. Stanley in Sully. They made their home on a farm East of Lynnville where Mildred was a homemaker and farmer’s wife.
Mildred is survived by her two daughters, Nancy (Ron) Toppenberg of Newton and Linda (Jerry) Fleagle of Coralville; grandchildren, Carol (Royce) Dexter of Urbandale, Cheryl (Dennis) Piotraschke of Johnston, Brian (Terron) Toppenberg of Norwalk, Mark (Tricia) Fleagle of Waukee, Scott Fleagle (fiancé, Jaime Lang) of Des Moines, and Michael (Madelyn) Fleagle of Chicago; grandson-in-law, Brian Papa of Effingham, Illinois; and her great-grandchildren, Lauren, Braden, Alysen, Carissa, Aaron, McKenzie, Morgan, Madison, Emmory, Carter, and Ethan. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Warren Stanley; granddaughter, Christen Papa; sister, Maxice Northcutt; and brother, Milo Kruseman.
