SAUNDERS, Mildred Jean died June 4, 2014, at age 92. Jean was born March 28, 1922, in Scotts, MI to the late George and Anna Lee Harris. She was united in marriage to Verlyn Saunders in 1941, who preceded her in death in April of 2004. Jean and her husband were charter members of Calvary Reformed Church.
Jean is survived by her children, Yvonne Joe Gabb of Mattawan and William Vicki Saunders of Kalamazoo; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren; sister, May Shelly; brothers, Jay Dessie Harris and Leslie Colleen Harris; and several nieces and nephews.
Jean is also preceded in death by a son, Lee Saunders; sister, Mary Floyd Barnhart; brothers, Maynard Loretta Harris and Charles Rose Harris; and brother-in-law, Ernest Shelly.
