Mildred (Iapaluchi) Assenza, 88, of Woodbury, passed into God’s eternal care where she was greeted with open arms by her husband George N. Assenza, on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at St. Mary’s Hospital with her family by her side. Mrs. Assenza was born October 15, 1921 in Waterbury, daughter of the late Joseph and Florence (Imbimbo) Iapaluchi. A retired LPN, Mrs. Assenza had worked at St. Mary’s Hospital where she especially enjoyed working in the Maternity Ward. She loved to read and crochet and was a member of the prayer blanket ministry at St.
