Mildred Emge Chaille, 91 Anderson, died March 28, 2011. Mildred was born December 18, 1919 in Ft. Branch, IN to Oscar and Theresa Emge. She died March 28, 2011.
She married John M. Chaille June 27, 1940. She and John moved their family to Anderson in 1950 to open the Anderson branch of the Emge Meat Packing Co. She was a generous community volunteer and a past president of Victoria Guild of Saint John’s Health System. Mildred was full of fun and liked to play tennis and golf, she had her own style when water skiing, and liked to travel. She was a great mother, and enthusiastic grandmother. Her outstanding personal trait was her overall kindness to all she encountered.
Survivors include her children; Thomas Penny Chaille of Arizona, James Ann Chaille of Anderson, Patricia Eckstein of Muncie, J. Bruce Chaille and Richard Jean Chaille of Anderson, 16 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Also surviving are her brother Edward Marjorie Emge, and sisters Barbara Bender and Mary Jane Bob Busing, several nieces, nephews and a special friend Trudy Chaille.
She was preceded in death by her husband John in 2007 after 67 years of marriage, her parents, her brother Walter Bess Emge, her brothers-in-law; Fred Bender and Dave Chaille, and her sister-in-law Jean Sam Korb.
