Mildred C. Rockman “Millie” age 82, of Fort Walton Beach, FL., went to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 9, 2016, in a care facility in DeFuniak Springs, FL. She was born on December 30, 1933, in Sioux Falls, S.D. to Roy and Mildred West. She was Lutheran by faith. She had lived in the local area since 1955, when she moved here with her husband as a military family. She always loved being near her family and friends. She also enjoyed traveling. Millie was a member of the VFW Ladies Auxiliary. During the 50’s, 60’s and 70’s she helped her husband “Rocky” run an automobile repair shop and also some rental property within the area. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her husband Orlan “Rocky” in 1973. She was also preceded in death by brothers, David and Junior West; sister, Billie and grandchild, Misty Rockman Williams.
She is survived by sons, Lawton (Debbie) Rockman, Timothy (Susan) Rockman , both of DeFuniak Springs, FL. and Keith (Karen) Rockman of Fort Walton Beach, FL.; grandchildren, Andrew (Jenny), Benjamin (Margie), Justin (Stacie), Brittany (Justin), Rebecca (Jeremy), Lesley (Chris), Rene and Rachael; great grandchildren, Destiny, Lana, Calysta, Brynlee, Leighton, Lane, Lucas, Rayghan, Rhyann, Carter, Clinton, William, Layla, Wyatt, Lauren, Londyn and Logan; sisters, Bonnie Fisher and Lillian Collins, both of Sioux Falls, S.D.
