Miguel Saba of Silver Spring, Maryland died suddenly on January 13, 2016. Beloved husband of Gloria Saba; father of Mary Saba, Georgette Mund (Jeffrey) and Miguel Saba, Jr.
Miguel was born in Bolivia, South America in 1955 and was one of 7 children. He moved to the United States in 1983 by himself chasing the American dream. His wife, Gloria, and their two young daughters, Mary and Georgette, followed him a year later. They then had a son, Miguel Jr, while living in Virginia. Upon arriving in the United States, Miguel worked in construction and as an engineer for the Renaissance Hotel in DC. In 2002, he started working as a steamfitter with the Steamfitter’s Local 602 and continued to work as a steamfitter until his death. Miguel was truly a remarkable man, considered by all who knew him as the most hard-working individual they’d ever met, all to provide for his beautiful family. He wore his heart on his sleeves and for that he was instantly lovable. He will absolutely be missed by many.
