Miguel “Mike” Horcasitas Baca 84, Hurley resident passed away Wednesday, March 26, 2014, at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Mike was born October 7, 1929 in Dwyer, NM to Eufracia Parra Horcasitas and Jose Trujillo Baca. He served in the U. S. Army during the Korean War and shortly thereafter he began his employment at Kennecott Copper as a material handler. He retired and spent his life in Hurley with his family. “Mike”, as he was affectionately known was a member of the Infant Jesus Shrine.
He is survived by his loving wife Antonia G. Baca and his son Rudy P. Baca; two sisters, Cecilia B. Misquez from San Juan and Luisa Tellez from Thatcher, AZ.
He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Ruben Baca (May 2, 1972), and his first wife Carmen (1972).
