Michelle Zoe Kerr, age 58, of Plymouth, formerly of South Boston, passed away on April 22, 2021 surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of John G. Kerr. Loving mother of Johnathan Kerr and his wife Kate, Patrick Kerr and his wife Carly of Plymouth, Nicholas Kerr and his fiancé R.J. Mastny of Fort Myers, FL, and Joycelyn Kerr of South Boston. Proud Nana to Madelyn Kerr, Rowan Kerr, and Finley Kerr. Michelle was the youngest of 9 children of the late Francis and Margaret Coughlin of South Boston. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews, and too many friends to count.Michelle was born in Boston on November 19, 1962. She was a graduate of Newman Prep and Charm School. She went on to start her career as an office manager for Gillette. She later found her calling through Camp Kerr, delivering unparalleled childcare like no other. She particularly took pride in playing dodgeball with the kids to closeout every day. Michelle finished her career as a jack-of-all-trades for HomeCare Plus. She dedicated her life to raising her four children and improving her community. She was an active member and President of the West Home and School Association, a board member of Plymouth Little League, a member of the Plymouth School Committee, as well as an elected Town Meeting Member. Michelle’s sisters were her best friends, and her best friends were her sisters; Michelle is truly loved by all. There was nothing she loved more than spending time with her friends and family, and the way she approached life in her unmatched ability to get a laugh or a smile made that clear. Michelle defied all odds during her incredible fight against breast cancer for almost 5 years, and perhaps the only thing more unrelenting than her disease was her unstoppable positive attitude. She will always be remembered by those closest to her as “practically perfect in every way.
