Michele Ann “Micki” Mueller, 63, of Jacksonville, IL, died Saturday, March 20, 2021, at Passavant Area Hospital.
She was born October 22, 1957, in Jacksonville, the daughter of Russell and Patricia A. Newberry Nichols.
She is survived by two daughters and two sons, Rayna Mueller of Canton, GA, and Amanda Besterfeldt, Nathan (Heather) Thomas, and David (Lauren) Mosley, all of Jacksonville; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren; two sisters, Kathy Norman and Tari Edwards, both of Jacksonville; and one brother, Robert (Pamela) Nichols of Jacksonville. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Jennifer Heaton (surviving husband Gerry and his wife Rachel Heaton); and her companion, Bob Davenport.
Micki worked for DORS as a caregiver, and she loved caring for people. She had earned her G.E.D. and had some college education. As a young girl she played the clarinet, and delivered newspapers to pay for her love of pinball. She also was a member of 4-H and the Girl Scouts.
She enjoyed reading, gardening, knickknacks, spending time in the country, and riding Harleys, especially with her son, Nate. Micki never met a stranger, and had a huge heart and a contagious laugh and smile. She loved her family and friends and enjoyed spending time with her sisters. She loved her dog, Timber, but she especially adored her grandchildren.
