Michael William Yardley, 53, of Three Oaks, Michigan, died Wednesday, May 9, 2007 from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.
Mike was born November 3, 1953 in St. Joseph, Michigan to Guy and Esther (Budak) Yardley in St. Joseph, Michigan.
He grew up in Lakeside, Michigan and graduated from River Valley High School in 1972. Mike served his country in the U.S. Air Force, retiring in 1978. He also retired from the U.S. Post office in Niles and ran Mike’s Small Engine Repair on U.S. 12 in Three Oaks for many years. Mike was an avid NASCAR Fan and enjoyed tinkering on cars and other machinery.
Survivors include his children, Trisha Yardley of Rochester, MN; Timothy Yardley of Champaign, IL; Bambi Horton of Taylorsville, NC; Michelle Yardley of Galien, Michigan and Matthew Yardley of Niles, Michigan; his mother, Esther Yardley of St. Joseph; and brothers, Bill (Karen) Yardley of Wichita, KS and David Yardley of Kalamazoo, Michigan.
