He is survived by his daughter Erin Nimtz of Mishawaka Indiana; his mother Mary Nimtz of South Bend, Indiana; and four brothers, Richard (Mary) Nimtz Jr. of Granger, Indiana, John (Sherry) Nimtz of Berrien Springs, Michigan, Kurt (Ranelle) Nimtz of Mishawaka, Indiana and Steven (Patty) Nimtz of Burnsville, Minnesota. Michael was preceded in death by his father Richard D. Nimtz, Sr.
