Michael S. Vallery, Sr. was born in Shreveport, LA on May 8, 1963 and was adopted by Richard and Iva Jean Vallery. His sudden death on July 30, 2008 has left a big hole in the life of those who loved him. He joined the Air Force at the age of 20 and was stationed at Lackland AFB in San Antonio where he was involved with their dog training program. After his Air Force days he held many jobs from driving long haul trucks to being a chef at Red was an active member of St. Joseph Catholic Church ” Honey Creek in Spring Branch, TX. Among his many activities, he was active in the Knights of Columbus Council 8521 where he was an officer and worked hard during their Lenten Fish Fry”s. Mike was also a Sir Knight with Assembly 1791 in New Braunfels. He attended his first ACTS retreat this past winter and was looking forward to helping with the 2009 Retreat as well as the upcoming golf San Antonio Area Boy Scouts were also important to Mike. He loved to help with the many activities that his nephew Emilio was involved in.
