Michael Shelton Fechner, Sr., 53, a servant of the Lord, went to be with Jesus on April 9, 2014. The Lord extended his life many years past his medical prognosis in his battle with cancer. His faith and the prayers of many saints sustained him.
Mike was born on February 3, 1961 in Nurnberg, Germany to Sandra and Ruben Fechner Jr. Mike was living in Dallas, TX serving as founder and president of H.I.S. BridgeBuilders and concurrently serving as co-pastor of Restoration Community Church Dallas. His ministry sought to bring restoration to urban communities through the gospel of the Kingdom. He previously served as Minister of Global Outreach at Prestonwood Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife Laura, and his children Michael and his wife Caitlin, Daniel, Jonathan, and Grace; his parents; his brothers Ruben III and Mel; and many brothers and sisters in Christ.
