Michael Safu Deen, 79 years old, transitioned peacefully from this life on the 18th of January, 2022. He was born in Georgetown, Guyana, second son of the late Zahiruddin and Safiran. He spent his life being involved with family and friends, enjoyed movies, games and gardening. An insurance agent in Guyana, he was known around the cities for his unique interactions with his clients, travelling to sell insurance policies on his motorcycle. He also used it to transport his family of five, quite a sight to see.
He migrated to the USA in the 1980’s. In Brooklyn, he worked in several jobs, the most meaningful one to him was his job in healthcare where he stayed until his retirement. He then moved to Florida with his wife where he lived out the remainder of his life.
Michael is survived by his wife Rita, children Maureen, Rowena and Tariq, son-in-law Sheik, daughter-in-law Jennifer, grandchildren Ariana, Ethan, Aidan, Audriana and Arabella. He is also survived by his 9 siblings, in-laws, nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
