Michael S. Spitzer, 74, of Palmer Township, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 7, 2018, at Lehigh Valley Hospital Health Network Hospice, Allentown. He was the husband of Jane (Thomas) Spitzer, with whom he shared over 49 years of loving marriage.
Born in Philadelphia, Michael was the son of the late Harry and Susan (Goldring) Spitzer. He graduated from Dieruff High School in 1961, and served his country in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Michael served on the Bethlehem Parking Authority for over 25 years, and later became Executive Director of the Authority. He enjoyed volunteering at Muhlenberg Hospital and for Meals on Wheels, and was a member of Congregation Brith Sholom in Bethlehem.
Survivors: wife Jane; son Scott Spitzer and his wife Amanda Goldstein of Marion Station; grandchildren Jonah, Lilah, Hannah, Talia and Nora. Michael was predeceased by his sister, Myrna Spiro.
