Michael Ray Hamilton, 40, of 184 Lamberth Drive, Danville died at his residence Wednesday, March 30, 2011. Born April 2, 1970 in Danville, VA he was son of the late Sylvia Grace Garrett, and the late Hubert A. Hamilton, and also the son Eldridge R. Meeks, Sr. and the late Peggy Hamilton. He was employed by Meeks Rentals and was of the Baptist faith. He is survived by his son, Travis A. Hamilton of Gibsonville, NC and Travis’s mother, Tammy H. Minor; his sisters, Monalisa M. Hooker and husband, Brian of Dry Fork, Alice E. Meeks, Sylvia Ann Williams and her husband, Mark and Mary Leigh Widdifield all of Danville; his brothers, Eldridge R. Meeks, Jr. and his wife, Vickie of Danville; David Wayne Meeks of Danville and Preston K. Meeks of Concord, NC; his caregiver and his cousin, Tammy Barts; his uncles, James Garrett, Walter Garrett and Jack Meeks; and his aunt, Mary Lambert. He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers James W. “Monk†Meeks, and Warren G. Meeks.
