Michael Lee Mahler

 

July 23, 1968 – October 25, 2021 

 

Michael Mahler, loving husband and father of five daughters, passed away unexpectedly of a brain aneurysm on Monday, October 25, 2021 at the age of 53. 

 

Michael was born July 23, 1968 in Fresno, CA to John Mahler II and Carol Cullins Mahler. He graduated from Washington Union High School in 1986, Cuesta College in 1988, and attended University of the Pacific before working at US Farm Systems/Val Metal for over 30 years. On October 17, 1998, he married Yvette Anderson. They have five daughters, Crystal, Tiffany, Cristina, Skyler, and Madison. 

 

Michael put his family and friends first followed by his many hobbies of boating, camping, skiing, riding dirt bikes & quads, and just hanging out. Michael combined his love of family and friends with his many hobbies by planning and hosting camping trips and outings that incorporated all of these. Michael also frequently hosted family and friends at his home either swimming, barbequing, or hanging out in the shop. Michael demonstrated his dedication to his friends, family, coworkers, and customers by his willingness to help out any of those in need at any time of day or night. Additionally, Michael recently became a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles.    

  

Mike was employed by US Farm Systems/Val Metal for over 30 years where he was pivotal in the company establishing itself as the industry leader in dairy waste management both locally and internationally.

 

Mike’s extensive knowledge of the local manufacturing industry established him as a leader in the development of a qualified workforce within the central valley. Collaborating with both the College of the Sequoias and Modesto Junior College, Michael established a pilot intern program that became a model for other workforce preparation programs throughout the country. Michael served on several advisory committees and was featured as a guest panelist in places as far away as Chicago, IL on this topic.         

 

Michael was preceded in death by his father, John Mahler II. He is survived by his wife Yvette Mahler of Exeter, his five daughters, Crystal Blackmon (Tommy), Tiffany Wadkins, Cristina Mahler, Skyler Mahler, and Madison Mahler, his grandchildren Brooklyn, Logan, and Krislyn Blackmon, his mother Carol Mahler (Rejean Houle) of Clovis, his brother John Mahler III (Deborah), his sister Rebecca Hall (Jared), as well as several uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, and cousins all who loved him dearly.
