Michael L. Henderson, age 65, of Marion, Indiana, died October 28, 2015, at Marion General Hospital in Marion, Indiana.
Michael was born May 2, 1950 to the late Arthur and Reba (Dickensheet) Henderson. He graduated from Marion High School in 1968. He then started working at Dana Corporation and retired in 2000, after having worked for 32 years. Michael married Carol I. Persinger on June 1, 1984. She passed away on March 2, 2015. Michael was a member of the Grace Community Church and was involved with the Wood Carvers in Converse. He was also a member of the church bowling league. He enjoyed disc golf and bicycling, and he also enjoyed wood carving and making stained glass. When Michael was younger, he would read to his friend Willis who was blind.
Michael is survived by his daughter, Amy (Earl) Lane, Jonesboro, IN; son, Jonathan (April) Henderson, Fairmount, IN; step-son, William Garrett, Ossian, IN; two sisters, Faith (Dave) Brenneman, Upland, IN and Bethany (Roger) Lovell, Indianapolis, IN; three brothers, David (Roxanne) Henderson, Fairmount, IN, Philip (Nina) Henderson, Mooresville, IN, and Stephen Henderson, Indianapolis, IN; sister-in-law Brenda (Jerry) Stanley, Indianapolis, IN; and four grandchildren, Christopher Henderson, Marcia Lane, Bridgett Garrett, and Charles Garrett.
Michael was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Reba Henderson, and his wife, Carol Henderson.
