Michael Linn Hammond, 61 of Richview, passed away Wednesday, November 13, 2013 at his home. Michael was born March 27, 1952 in Fredericktown, Missouri, son of Leeman Joseph Hammond and Margaret Nadine (Shy) Hammond.
He is survived by five brothers: Gary Hammond and wife Brenda of Taylorville, Roger Hammond of Taylorville, Jerry Hammond and wife Tammie of Mt. Vernon, Dennis Hammond and wife Becky of Irvington and Jeffery Hammond of Richview; four sisters: Karen Yarborough and husband Gary of Centralia, Paula Wells and husband Paul of Farmington, Missouri, Angela Smith of Irvington, and Janet Hammond and special friend Shawn of Richview; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, two nieces and 3 nephews. Michael enjoyed old movies, wrestling, and wood working. He helped at a dairy farm and he worked at a sawmill. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and friends.
