Michael “Micky” Joseph Chadbourne, age 16, of Franklin, passed away Monday June 9, 2014 from injuries sustained while trying to rescue a friend from drowning. Micky is remembered by thousands of people as a hero. Among his friends and family he is remembered for his gentle nature, quick wit, and huge heart.
Micky was an upcoming senior at Franklin Community High School. He was a standout football player and a member of the track team. He loved spending time with his many good friends, especially his girlfriend Kelsey Adkins. He loved visiting his huge extended family and friends in Maine for vacations, big pasta dinners, trips to the ocean and annual summer camps.
Micky would give anything to anyone. As his final gift, he donated his organs to the Indiana Organ Procurement Organization that others may live.
Micky is survived by his parents Christina and Josh Roberson, Michael Chadbourne, siblings Simon, Nora and Lucas all of Franklin, grandparents Tony and Darlene Napolitano and Bonnie and Clinton Chadbourne both of Portland, ME, Carla Hendershot of Franklin, Keith Roberson of Tennessee, great-grandparents, John and Linda McGovern of Portland, ME and Robert Roberson of Tennessee, uncles and aunts, Tony and Jen Napolitano of South Portland, ME, Nick and Amanda Napolitano of Augusta, ME, Joe and Stephanie Napolitano of Westbrook, ME, Steven Chadbourne of ME, Jason and Kelly Lamb of Westbrook, ME, Mike and Kristina Uhl, Chase and Sam Hendershot, Hunter Hendershot and Maddison Hendershot all of Franklin. He is also survived by many loving cousins and relatives.
