Michael John Evans went to be with the Lord February 27th, 2021 at the age of 61.
Michael was born to John and Dawn Evans on January 1st 1960 in Chicago, Illinois. He
graduated from Saguaro Highschool in 1978 where he was a standout back for the Sabercats
football team. Michael graduated from Phoenix Community College with a degree in fire science
aiding his dream of becoming a firefighter. Michael graduated from the fire academy with
honors, received many awards, was promoted to fire captain and went on to save countless
lives in his community before retiring after 21 years. He loved helping people and was so proud
of it. After retiring, he successfully built and managed his own maintenance business until his
passing.
Michael was a father to three children Taylor, Jonathan and Jacob. His kids were his pride and
joy and he loved making memories with them. He was a first time Grandpa to Jack who he
adored and has another grandson on the way. Some of his favorite things involved going to the
movies and restaurants and had a love for camping, fishing and hunting. He had the biggest
heart and you could always count on him to put a smile on your face. Michael was a Roman
Catholic who believed in the divine mercy, said the chaplet and loved our blessed mother by
saying the rosary.
Michael joins his Father John in heaven. He is survived by his mother, Dawn, 3 brothers, 2
sisters, his 3 children, his grandson, son in law and three sister in laws. He was loved by so
many and will be deeply missed.
