TALLUTOMichael J. Talluto passed away peacefully on May 21, 2019, at the age of 61.Michael was born & raised in Southwest Philadelphia. He attended St. Katherine’s Day School and graduated in 1975. After graduating, Michael worked at Elwyn Institute for 20 years and later at, Talluto’s Authentic Italian Food, his family’s business. Friends and neighbors fondly remember his smiling face in the store as he greeted everyone with a hug.Michael was an avid Philadelphia sports team fan, with the Phillies ranking at the top of his list. He loved watching sports and wrestling on tv, as well as attending live games with family & friends. Among his many gifts, Michael could name any player on any sports team just by their number. Michael’s love of sports was not only limited to professional sports. He took great pride and enjoyment in watching his nieces and nephews sporting events as well, catching a game whenever he had the chance. Michael also enjoyed bowling from an early age and more recently, became active in Special Olympics bowling and Michael, everyone he met was family and he treated them as so. He lovingly became known as “Uncle Michael” to generations of friends & neighbors. He had a warm smile and an enormous heart, both of which will be greatly missed by so many.Michael was the loving son of the late Joseph & Genevieve Talluto (nee Bednar). He was the cherished brother of Joseph A.M. (Carmella) Talluto, Nina Talluto – Kimmel and Marialena Talluto – Storti. He also had many loving nieces & nephews.
