Michael James Shuman of Nampa, Idaho passed away unexpectedly on October 13, 2020 of natural causes. He was born to parents Weldon and Karon Shuman on March 20, 1970 in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Mike graduated from Kimberly High School in 1988. He went on to study at Northwest Nazarene College for 3 years. Mike became employed at Micron in August 1993 where he continued to work for 27 years. Mike was currently working as the Sr. Manager of Business Systems and Recovery Operations. He loved his work family and was respected and loved by all who worked with him.
Mike met Shawna Clapp in 1989 in Nampa, Idaho while both were attending Northwest Nazarene College. Mike had been waiting in line at the registrar’s office for 2 hours and Shawna was placed in line in front of him. Soon after, they had their first date. They were married on June 8, 1991 in Kimberly, Idaho. He always said he married “his best friend and the love of his life”.
Mike was known for his kindness, patience, and compassion as well as his teasing nature. He was always willing and wanting to help those in need. Mike never hesitated to give financial help or to offer his home as a place for family and friends to stay in times of need. He lived out his faith by always doing his best to follow Christ’s example in sharing with others the same love and grace that God gave to him.
