Michael J. Kennedy, Jr., 87, passed away Monday, July 11, 2022.
Mike was born in Red Bank and was a life-long resident of the Red Bank-Middletown area. He was a 1953 graduate of Red Bank Catholic High School, received a degree in Economics from St. Peter’s College, an MBA from New York University’s Stern School of Business, and completed several Doctoral level courses at Pace University. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served with the U.S. Marine Corps’ Third Marine Air Wing from 1953 to 1956 when he received an honorable discharge with the rank of Sergeant. He joined Citibank in 1960 and was a graduate of the New York State Bankers’ Association’s Executive Development Program.
