Michael G. Garrett, 55, passed away Sunday, November 27, 2011, at Integra Specialty Hospital following an extended illness. He was born January 18, 1956, in Muncie, attended Muncie schools including MuncieSouthsideHigh School.
Mr. Garrett served with the Marines during the Viet Nam War, and also served in the Army and National Guard.
He was formerly employed at Dayton Walther, Midwest Metals and King Forge.
Surviving are his wife, Linda (McCowan) Garrett, to whom he would have been married thirty-seven years, December 22nd; two daughters, Felicia Hamm, (husband, Jim), Gaston, and Gina Willard, Gaston; three grandchildren, Kyle Willard, Seth Hamm, and Caleb Hamm; two sisters, Jackie K. Wilson, Baytown, Texas, and Carolyn A. Rice, (husband, Tom), Muncie; his half-brother, Mark D. Garrett, Ft. Wayne; his step-mother, Dorothy Garrett, Bluffton; his beloved dog, Buddy; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Barbara Ann Hill Garrett Miller, and his father, Carlos Eugene Garrett.
