Michael F.X. Boylan, 89, died Monday at The Bristol of White Plains, New York. He was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, and was a long-time resident of Point Pleasant, NJ, where he lived with his loving wife of 50 years, Edna. He was a graduate of Cooper Union in NYC and Lincoln H.S. in Jersey City. A World War II Navy veteran, he served aboard the USS Missouri in the Pacific. He is a retired Jersey City Police Captain who later worked for the US Army as an Avionics Engineer based at Fort Monmouth.
He is survived by his daughter Margaret and son-in-law Ronald Statile of White Plains, NY; his son Michael and his daughter-in-law Joanne of Lisle, IL: his son James and daughter-in-law Jane of Cleveland, OH; his daughter-in-law Holly Boylan Flego, the wife of his late son Thomas of Colts Neck, NJ.: his sister Kathleen Chester of Jersey City, NJ: eight grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife Edna and his sister Rosemarie Atkinson.
