Michael Dean Hanks, 53, of Nashville, TN went home to be with the Lord on January 19, 2017. Dean was born on May 22, 1963 in Reidsville, NC and was the former owner of Hanks Upholstery in Reidsville, before moving to Tennessee, where he continued to do upholstery work. Dean loved life, his family and his friends dearly. He was a big NASCAR fan, and will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him. Dean was preceded in death by his step-father Elwood Pryor and a brother Greg Pryor. Left to cherish his memories are his daughter: Ashley Hanks and his companion Teresa Meyers both of TN, his step-son: Mitch Gaster of Sanford, NC, his mother: Pauline Pryor, his father: Mike Hanks, his sister: Wanda Lewis, his brother Donald Hanks and wife Patricia all of Reidsville, nephew D.J. Hanks of Greensboro.
