Mr. Michael D. Drury
, 59, passed away Tuesday August 24, 2010 in the Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Palm Beach Gardens, FL after a courageous battle with cancer.
Michael was born in Newark and lived in Belleville before moving to Palm Beach Gardens 8 years ago. Mr. Drury was a fireman in the town of Kearny for 25 years. He retired in 2001. He served as a Sergeant in the U.S. Air force during the Vietnam Era.
Michael was an avid golfer, sports enthusiast and an outdoorsman. He lived life to the fullest.
He was predeceased by his parents Michael K. and Doris (Beil) Drury.
He is survived by his beloved wife Claudia (nee Lepre) and his adoring daughter Emily. He was the step-father of Joseph DiModica. Michael also leaves behind his sister Diane Rocco of Kearny and his nieces and nephews Joseph DiNuzzo, Lisa Crane, Linda Egger and Alex DiNuzzo.
