WINSTED –LONGHI – Michael A. Longhi, Jr., 56, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, October 6, 2021 after a brief illness surrounded by his loving family. He was the devoted husband of Theresa (Blasette) Longhi for 6 wonderful years. Born March 16, 1965 in Torrington; the son of Patricia “Patty” Gelzinis of Torrington and Michael A. Longhi, Sr. and his wife Kathleen “Kathy” Longhi of AZ. Mike owned and operated Counting the Days Electric LLC serving the local area since 2014. He was a skilled electrician. He enjoyed riding his Harley TriGlide. He loved traveling with his wife to Hawaii (where they were married), Alaska and St. Lucia just to name a few. He enjoyed spending time in his camper with his wife and their beloved German Shepherds. He also enjoyed fishing and going to art galleries. He took pride in his Koi Pond with over twenty Koi surrounded by multiple bear statue carvings. He worked hard and lived his life to the fullest. Mike is already deeply missed. In addition to his wife and parents, he leaves his daughters, Crystal Cordes and husband James, Jr., and Amber Carpenter and husband Clayton; grandchildren, Bradly and Adam Brouker; siblings, Robert Longhi and partner, Karen Grabowski, Tammy Minard and husband Keith, Kevin Longhi and Krista Waren; and many friends. He also leaves his canine companions, Sable and Diezel.
