Mervin Roy Crowder, 73, of Terre Haute, passed away in his residence on March 6, 2016. He was born in Terre Haute, Indiana on January 26, 1943 to Anderson Crowder and Elma (Shew) Crowder. Mervin was a member of Brazil Wing Models and RC Models, both are model airplane clubs. He was a flight instructor at Brown Flying School. He was involved with Boy Scouts and he helped his kids experience anything they could. His kids were his drive in life. Mervin is survived by his wife of 52 years Linda (Barnhart) Crowder; sons Scott Crowder, Kent Crowder, and his wife Jana; step daughter Debbie Modesitt and her husband Paul; grandchildren Kelsey Modesitt, Garrett Modesitt, Tawsha Burkhart, and Brandon Crusha; great grandchildren Heylia, Kyle, Josie, Jamie, and Lucas; and sister Wanda Farlin. He was preceded in death by his parents.
