Merry (Mary) Smith-Chamley, 88, of Salisbury Twp. died peacefully on Sunday July 27, 2014 in the VNA of St. Luke’s Hospice House in Lower Saucon Twp. She was the wife of the late Lance Smith and the late William Chamley who died in 1964. She was born in Wilkes Barre, Pennsylvania on March 10, 1926 to the late Joseph and Mary (Miller) Orbin. Mary worked for the Bethlehem Steel Corp., as a fork lift operator in the Iron Foundry Department for many years, until retiring. She was of Episcopalian faith. Mary belonged to the silver sneakers club, and enjoyed crocheting and knitting samples for wall hanging. Survivors: sons; Scott Smith and wife Audrey, William Chamley II, all of Bethlehem, Kelly Chamley and fiance Karen Graver of Danielsville; daughter Robin Evans and husband Gary of Gilbert AZ; grandchildren Scott Smith and wife Sue, Nicole Julian and husband Brian, Fawn Holdridge and husband Jeff, Feather Chamley, Kelly Chamley, Brook Scott and husband Daniel; 7 great-grandchildren; brothers, Pink Orbin, Bob Orbin and his wife Dot, and Jack Orbin. In addition to her parents and husbands, she was predeceased by her brother Joseph Orbin.
