Merle Jelm, 75, of rural Marseilles, passed away, April 7, 2013 at his home.
Merle was born September 6, 1937, in Marseilles, to Clarence and Mildred (Harlow) Jelm. He is an Army veteran. He married Deanne E. Erickson on May 20, 1972 in Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Morris. She passed away February 6, 2010. Merle farmed in the Rutland and Miller Township.
He is survived by one son, Ronald Jelm of Rural Marseilles and one grandson, Reese Jelm.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Deanne and one son, in infancy, Jeffrey Jelm.
