On Thursday August 20, 2020 our beloved mother, Mercedes F. Longoria, age 86, lifelong resident of Hobbs entered eternal life to be with her heavenly Father. She was born September 14, 1933 to Sotero and Carmen Fuentes and was a member of St. Helena’s Catholic Church. Mercedes will be remembered for her unconditional LOVE. This wonderful Lady will be greatly missed by not only her family but all of those she touched with kindness, caring and ability to see good in everyone. She loved to play Bingo and go to the Casino.
Survivors include her sons, Frank Villegas and Partner Ramona Machacek, Salvador Villegas Jr. wife Ruby, Joel Longoria wife Melanie. Daughters Anita Arrerondo husband Roy, Sue Rios husband Lupe, Lucy Lopez husband Raul, Joann Longoria Arcidez husband Casey Jr, Patricia Longoria Parra husband Rene’, Priscilla Longoria Molina husband Jaime. 41 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, 48 great great-grandchildren.
She is survived by one sister Rosa Zarate.
She was preceded in death by her husband Jose’ M. Longoria, parents, numerous brothers and sisters.
