Mr. Melvin Watson, Jr. born on January 27, 1953, in LaFayette, Alabama, the third oldest of Ten Siblings, Parents Melvin and Emma Jean Watson, who preceded him In death.
On July 17, 1964 John and Anna R. Hamel, affectionately called “Little Momma”, opened their home and became foster parents, raising four Watson Brothers, Melvin, Henry, David and Lonnie, along with Daniel Winston.
Melvin accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized, under the leadership of Dr. F.
Melvin attended Frances W. Parker School #56 and Arsenal Technical High School, graduating in 1972. He loved music, electronics and cars.
Melvin joined the United States Air Force, served and received an Honorable Discharge.
He departed this life January 5, 2021 at the age of 67 years 11 months 9 days. Siblings who preceded him In death are sisters, Rose Watson, Alice Madison, Lola Holloway and Brother David Watson.
Melvin leaves to cherish His memories sister, Dianne F. Grundy; brothers, Henry, Lonnie (Lolita), Donald Grundy (Sheila) of Houston TX; Mark Townsend of San Francisco CA, Daniel Winston (Nicole) and a host of nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends.
