Mr. Jack Boutwell, 81, passed away Wednesday, November 26, 2014, at his daughter’s home in Newnan, Georgia, surrounded by his family, after an extended illness. He was born June 23, 1933, in Ada, Ohio, to the late Jack Boutwell Sr and Cora Belle Goddard.

He is survived by his wife, Jean Marshall Boutwell, who resides in Newnan, Georgia. They have four children: Dennis Boutwell (Salome) of Plano, Texas, Karen Boutwell Peed (Kimball) of Newnan, Georgia, Mary Jean Reed of Ada, Ohio, and Richard Boutwell of Ada, Ohio. Their grandchildren are Kenny Reed, Tiffney Henige, Richard Boutwell, Alan Boutwell, and Christopher Kimball. He is survived by siblings Dorothy Mullins, Carolyn Boutwell, Thomas Boutwell, and Ruth Fletcher. He was well known in his hometown of Ada, Ohio, for being an outstanding high school athlete.

After service to our country in the United States Marine Corps, Mr. Boutwell worked for many years at the Pride of Lima store in Lima, Ohio, as a butcher. Later, he worked at Rockwell International in Kenton, Ohio, until he retired. He was a volunteer coach at Ada High School during the 1970s, donating his time to his cherished student athletes. He will be missed by all who knew him.
