Melvin Eugene Brown, affectionately known as “Butch”, 76, of Troutman, passed away on Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at Gordon Hospice House.
He was born September 28, 1940 in Crystal, West Virginia to the late David Brown and Marie Hall Brown.
Butch was the first full time employee of the Town of Troutman. He worked for the Town of Troutman for over 35 years as a Public Work Supervisor and was also in charge of the water maintenance. Butch enjoyed going to the mountains in his free time.
