Melvin E. Sornberger, 76, of Williamsport, passed away surrounded by family Saturday, March 7, 2020.
Born November 15, 1943 in Williamsport he was a son of the late Melvin L. Sornberger and Ruth Ann (Harris) Rupert.
Melvin worked as a taxi cab driver and dispatcher for Billtown Motors for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing, camping, playing cards and chess. He was a quiet man who loved being Pap to his grandsons and spending time with his family.
Surviving are a daughter, Sarina Skellenger of Williamsport; two grandsons Dakota and Jasper; two sisters, Nancy Latta and Linda Daugherty and several other family members and friends.
In addition to his parents Melvin was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Barbara L. Sornberger on June 20, 2018.
