Melissa Ann Distler, 31, of Belleville, IL, born January 1, 1986 in Maryville, IL, passed away Friday, May 5, 2017 at St. Louis University. Melissa enjoyed the outdoors where she would camp, boat, and swim. Once, while swimming, she saved a child’s life.
She loved her children dearly and cherished every moment spent making memories with them. Melissa loved music, her family, and bartending. She was a free spirit who loved to think of others before herself. Melissa will be remembered for her love of life and contagious laugh. Melissa is survived byher mother, Lisa Kaye Conner of Belleville, IL; her father, Michael Distler of O’Fallon, IL; two sons, Samuel Connor Distler and Maximillian Michael Geromiller; sister, Andrea (Shawn) Darr of Collinsville, IL; and two nieces, Jaden Distler Darr and Ivy Michelle Darr.
