McCristian “M.C.” Flowers, 76, of Jacksonville, died Thursday, Oct. 8, 2009, at Prairie Village Healthcare Center.
He was born Oct. 16, 1932, in Crenshaw, MS, the son of Pate and Ollie Bell Pittman Flowers.
He is survived by his longtime companion, Lucy Gardner of Jacksonville; four brothers, Rudolph (Earlie) Flowers of Gary, IN, John Flowers of San Diego, CA, and William Flowers and McArthur Flowers, both of Jacksonville; five sisters, Josie Robinson and Julieus (Ernest) Johnson, both of Gary, IN, Rubenia Ellis of Lanham, MD, Icora Miller of Chicago and Ann Flowers of Decatur; and many nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Ulysses Flowers (surviving wife Julia of Gary, IN), Romancy Flowers, Pavie Seals and James Seals.
Mr. Flowers worked in construction, and he loved hunting and fishing.
