Maxzine Coleman, age 93, of Livermore, passed away on September 25, 2020 at the Humboldt County Memorial Hospital in Humboldt. Maxzine Elaine Weiss, the daughter of E. A. and Christine Emma (Licht) Weiss, was born on March 26, 1927 on the family farm in Beaver Township in Humboldt County. She attended Beaver Township #4 Country School. On September 23, 1954 Maxzine was united in marriage with David J. Coleman at the Zion Lutheran Church in Beaver Township. Maxzine was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church were she had been involved with LWML and taught Sunday School and Midweek School. She enjoyed sewing, gardening and canning. Everything Maxzine did came from her faith in God. How she loved her family, neighbors and friends showed that faith. She shared her love with everyone she met. Maxzine was always there to lend a hand. Left to cherish Maxzine’s memory are her children, Christine (Michael) Ryerson of West Des Moines, Dale (Marlene) Coleman of Livermore, Daniel Coleman of Storm Lake and Janice (Scott) Dickerson of Atlantic; a daughter-in-law, Carol Coleman of Humboldt; ten grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; and two sisters, Bernice Gronbach of Humboldt and Leone Honhenberger of Humboldt. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; son, Dean Coleman; sisters, Lorna Stellhorn, Elda Eilers and Alberta Wolf; and in-laws, Thomas and Mary Coleman.
