To the officers and supervisors who worked for him, Chief Frye was known for being a fair and wise police chief. After his retirement from the police department, the county renamed the road on which police headquarters IS LOCATED TO “Maxwell Frye Road.” Although known by many as “Chief,” what Mr. Frye enjoyed most was being “Mickey,” “Dad,” and “Pop Pop.” He loved to golf, read, catch-up with friends that he served with in the Navy and spend time with his family and friends.
