Maxine Terry was born in April 1, 1949 in Detroit, MI to the late James and Mildred Terry. She accepted Christ in her life at a early age. She was the 2nd of 4 children, she had 1 brother James Terry and 2 sisters Patricia Stewart and Denise Dunsmore who all preceded her in death. Throughout her childhood life she adored her grandparents Allen and Mable Denkins.
Maxine attended Detroit Public Schools and was a graduate of Central High School in 1967.
Maxine had a beautiful voice and was always singing, She was even asked to be a part of the musical group The Velvelettes.
Maxine later met and formed a relationship with Jasper Smith and from that a love child was born in 1978, Kevin Darnell Terry. But later down the road in life after the passing of her mother she followed Kevin from Detroit, MI to Atlanta, GA to Kissimmee, FL which she lived out the rest of her days.
Maxine loved to laugh and dance and hang out with her dearest friend Shirley Tyner-Elliott. She then found interest in dining out, yearly family trips, and collecting household essentials.
Maxine departed this life for eternal rest and peace on July 22, 2021.

As time went by, we talked about if You should leave us , YOU HAD A GOOD LIFE. So, my dearest sister rest in Peace, until we meet again. The Lord gave you to us , Now he has called You home.
