Maxine G. “Tiny” Eggers Myers, 87, passed away Monday Jan. 26, 2015 in Indianapolis. She was a resident of New Whiteland. Tiny was born Sept. 1, 1927 in Indianapolis to Herbert and Mary Josephine (Maloney) Smith. She married Donald J. Eggers on May 22, 1948; they were married for 55 years.
During her career, Tiny was employed with Western Electric, 7 UP Bottling and Monarch Beverage. She also co-owned and operated Five Oaks Realty. After retirement she was employed part-time at K-Mart in Greenwood. She enjoyed collecting teddy bears and working in her flower gardens. She and her husband, Don, enjoyed woodcrafting and selling their merchandise at craft shows in Johnson County. She was a member of Rocklane Christian Church in Greenwood.
Tiny is survived by a son, Bruce Eggers of Franklin, sister, Patricia (William) Shaw of New Whiteland, two brothers, John ( Charlene) Smith of New Whiteland and Bernard (Cindy) Smith of Indianapolis, four grandchildren, Michelle (Michael) White, Christy McGinley-Hughes, Elizabeth McRoberts and Alex Eggers.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, Donald Eggers and Dean Myers, son, Donald Eggers Jr., daughter, Donna Waugh, three brothers, Paul, Herbert “Bud” and Carl Smith, sister, Rosemary Barnes and two grandchildren, Brian Waugh and Jonathan Eggers.
