Obituary of Mavis Blood Laseter
Mrs. Laseter, a faithful member of Central Missionary Baptist Church for 58 years, went home to be with her Lord on Tuesday, February 8, 2005. She was a faithful wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend who devoted her life to her family and church. She taught the women’s sunday school class (the Gleaners) at Central Missionary Baptist Church for over 40 years.
Mrs. Laseter is survived by her husband, George Laseter; two daughters, Tena Hughes and husband Doug of Bastrop, LA and Tammy LeBleu and husband Darin of Sterlington, LA; two sons, Gary Laseter and wife Lenece of Monroe, LA and Charles Laseter and wife Cgay of Bastrop, LA; seven grandchildren, Tara Laseter of Bastrop, LA, Alana Laseter of Lafayette, LA, Charlie Laseter,Jr. of Bastrop, LA, Angie Herring and husband Scott of Bastrop, LA, Doug Hughes II of Bastrop, LA, Morgan LeBleu and Macy LeBleu both of Sterlington, LA; two great grandchildren, Conleigh Laseter and Alex Maldonado both of Bastrop, LA; four sisters, Opal Book of Bastrop, LA; Dorothy Williams of Bastrop, LA, Sadie Campbell of Bastrop, LA and Ola Mae Snoddy of Bossier City, LA; two brothers, Paul Blood of Jonesboro, LA and Larry Blood of Farmerville, LA and a host of nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Lucy Blood; two sisters, Florence House and Glory Freeland and four brothers, George Blood,Jr., Everett Blood, Charles Blood and Nelson Blood.
