Mava Whicker Mayfield passed away February 26, 2016 in Salt Lake City, Utah. She was born on March 18, 1944 to Frances Larsen and Robert Cleo Whicker in Delta, Utah.
She attended Delta High School, got her associates from College of Southern Utah and bachelors from Brigham Young University in Psychology and Elementary Education. In August of 1969 she married Alan Mayfield in the Manti LDS Temple and their union was blessed with three daughters.
Mava was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various callings, and served faithfully throughout her life. Her hobbies included ceramics, leather tooling and stuffed teddy bears. She was a diligent journal keeper, she remembered birthdays and anniversaries of all family members and would call or write.
Mava is survived by her husband, Alan; daughters, Sonya (Jeff) Raetzke, Kristi (Jared) Ruegsegger and Alicia (David) Furse. Siblings, Dennis (Katheryn) Whicker, JoAnn (Ron) Nielson, and Julie (Phil) Finlinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Clarene; brother, Bob; and in laws, Verna and Richard Mayfield.
