Maurice S. Gray Jr., 8, passed away Friday at 6:36 p.m., At Elkhart General Hospital from injuries he received after a car- pedestrian accident. Maurice was born on January 3, 2011 in Elkhart to Maurice S. Gray Sr. and Aleen Nicole Keosackdy.
His parents survive, as well paternal grandparents Ruby and Earl Gray, maternal grandparents, Pe and Sy Keosackdy; siblings, Nathan Keosackdy, Damien Savangvongsabanh, Thairek Savangvongsabanh, Kendrick Keosackdy, Covonn Beavers, Nadia Keosackdy, Jaden Benelisha, Jayven Stewart, Kyan Gray and Israel Gray.
Maurice was in the second grade at Hawthorne Elementary School, where he enjoyed reading, math and gym. He attended Mary Feeser Elementary School from kindergarten through first grade. He loved playing basketball, football, baseball and especially soccer. His favorite color was blue, he enjoyed Snicker bars, Orange Crush, fried chicken wings and baked spaghetti. He liked to watch Kio cartoons, and enjoyed playing Fortnite, Xbox and doing The Floss dance.
