Maureen T. Hallinan, 73, of South Bend, passed away on Tuesday in Shubert Villa, Notre Dame, IN. She was born on June 11, 1940, in Flushing, NY, to the late Joseph and Beatrice (O’Reilly) Hallinan. On September 11, 1976, she married Art Grubert, who preceded her in death on May 4, 2010. She is survived by her daughter, Renee Grubert of Mishawaka; her son, Christopher Grubert of Forrest Park, IL; a grandson, Thomas; a sister, Rita Porter of Wattsburg, PA; and by two brothers, John Hallinan of Flushing and Thomas Hallinan of New York, NY. Dr. Hallinan was a Professor at the University of Notre Dame from 1984 until June 2012. 3545 N.
